House Doctoring top tips
When putting your house on the market, here are a few tips that you can do yourself to help with a prompt sale. It is always good practice to:
- Give the house a spring clean from top to bottom.
- Clear your front path.
- Wipe away any cobwebs from the front door.
- Clean all the windows.
- Clear away any unwanted clutter.
- Keep work surfaces clear.
- Have a clean sink (no dirty dishes).
- Make sure bathrooms/toilets are spotless.
- Put rubbish bins out of sight.
- Make up the beds with fresh bed-linen.
- Open windows daily to freshen the house.
- Make sure there are no strong smells of pets, rubbish, cigarettes or cooking. Even some flowers have strong smells that are not appealing to certain people.
- Tidy away any personal items such as medication, clothes, toys & laundry.
- Make space in the garage for at least a car!
- Cut the grass.
- Place some pretty pots at your front door.
